With PACK & SEND there are no limits and you can choose the level of service that meets your needs - either through our retail service centres or using our automated Online Self-Service system.
However, some items cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service. These items are classified as ‘Prohibited Online Goods.’ Prohibited Online Goods may only be sent through the personalised services of a PACK & SEND service centre. If you have such goods, you should request an estimate using our personalised webform or phone 0345 873 999 0.
Please ensure that your goods are not Prohibited Online Goods before you book your Online Self-Service. These are not covered by our Warranty shipping protection and surcharges do apply under our Terms & Conditions if we collect such goods. You will also be inconvenienced as a result of us either holding such goods for you to collect or you paying to have the goods returned.
Below you will also find a quick reference guide as to what can and cannot be sent through our Online Self-Service system and Service Centres:
Parcels booked online must:
• be properly packed to a standard ensuring safe transit through the general freight network
• weigh less than 30Kg for any single item/parcel
• have a maximum dimension (length + girth) of less than 300cm
• have the longest side not more than 120cm
• have contents with a value less than £1000
• not contain Prohibited Online Goods
Service Centres can handle:
• both packed and unpacked goods (we can professionally package)
• goods of any weight or size
• goods of any value
• the acceptance of almost all types of goods
Below is a quick reference guide to some of the common categories of goods that may only be sent through our Retail Service Centres.
Antiques, sculptures, framed artworks, paintings, canvas art, prints and picture frames cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.
Yes – PACK & SEND Service Centres can send antiques, sculptures, framed artworks, paintings, canvas art & prints.
Engines, gearboxes, Automotive parts, panels, wheels, car parts, car batteries and tyres among other things cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.
Yes – PACK & SEND Service Centres can send engines, gearboxes, automotive parts, panels, mag wheels, car parts and tyres.
You cannot book pickups from a ‘Click & Collect’ or other online retailers, Auction houses, airports or any other location where a pickup letter of authority is required, through the Online Self-Service.
Yes – PACK & SEND Service Centres can arrange pickups from retailer ‘Click & Collect,’ Online retailers, auctions houses, airports or places requiring a pickup letter of authority.
Crockery, vases, porcelain items and ceramics cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.
Yes – PACK & SEND Service Centres can send Crockery, vases, porcelain and ceramics.
Unaccompanied Personal Effects (UPEs) and excess baggage cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service when shipping internationally.
UPEs include your household and personal items that you are sending that arrive separately to you. Typically, UPEs include clothing and footwear, personal hygiene and grooming items, furniture, appliances, sporting equipment and books.
Suitcases must be wrapped in protective cardboard to travel via Online Self-Service.
Yes – PACK & SEND Service Centres can send unaccompanied personal effects and excess baggage.
Dangerous and hazardous goods cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.
No – PACK & SEND does not carry, nor perform other services regarding, goods which are in our sole opinion are dangerous or hazardous goods. PACK & SEND may at its discretion accept some dangerous goods for carriage (such as Lithium Batteries with some restrictions applicable).
Firearms (incl parts), ammunition, replica weapons, knives, swords and other weapons cannot be booked for shipment via Online Self-Service.
Yes – PACK & SEND may at its discretion accept knives, swords and other weapons
Frozen or chilled meat, seafood or foodstuffs cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.
Yes – PACK & SEND Service Centres can send frozen or chilled meat, seafood or foodstuffs.
Fridges, Microwaves, freezers, oven cooking plates, water heaters, air conditioners, clothes dryers, dining tables, lounges, chairs & any other whitegoods or furniture* cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.
*’Furniture’ includes fully assembled furniture or unboxed/unpacked furniture & bedding
Yes – PACK & SEND Service Centres can send fridges, microwaves, freezers, oven cooking plates, water heaters, air conditioners, clothes dryers, dining tables, lounges, chairs & any other whitegoods or furniture.
Glass items cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.
Yes – PACK & SEND Service Centres can send glass items.
Inks and toner cartridges cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.
Yes – PACK & SEND Service Centres can send Inks and toner cartridges.
Jewellery, gold or silver articles, precious stones, cash, coins, bullion, bonds, banknotes, deeds, bills of exchange, credit cards, gift cards and other documents representing money cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.

Lithium Ion or Metal batteries (or goods containing these batteries) cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.

Livestock, animals, bloodstock, remains, plants, trees, seeds & flowers cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.

Marble, quartz, caesar stone, other stone or imitation stone & tiles products cannot be sent through the Online Self-Service.
