CUSTOMS REQUIREMENTS FOR HUNGARY

Before sending goods to Hungary, make sure you understand the nation’s import regulations, as well as the additional rules imposed by the European Union. Shipping to Hungary has become slightly more complex post-Brexit, with additional checks, tariffs, and regulations to consider.

Parcels entering Hungary from non-EU countries, including the UK, are now subject to customs and duty fees, which are charged to the recipient. UK-based senders must also provide a commercial invoice with their shipment. This document is used by customs officials to determine whether imported items are subject to duties and taxes and, if so, how much needs to be charged.

SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS TO HUNGARY

ADDRESSING PARCELS TO HUNGARY

When shipping to Hungary, the address format should include the following:

1. The recipient’s name on the first line.
2. The street address or PO Box on the second line.
3. The postcode and town/city on the third line.
4. The country name, HUNGARY, on the final line.

Note: Ensure that you include your return address on the opposite side of the package to the delivery address.
